The 20th Solheim Cup will be a showcase of history, momentum and fresh faces when the U.S. and European Solheim Cup Teams square off Sept. 11-13 at Bernardus Golf in Croimvoirt, Netherlands. Angela Stanford leads the Americans in her first turn as captain, while Anna Nordqvist also debuts as Europe’s captain on home soil. Ahead of the biennial matches, here are 10 numbers that put this year’s competition in perspective.
The 2026 Solheim Cup marks the 20th playing of the biennial team competition, which began in 1990. The U.S. Team holds an 11-7-1 advantage in the all-time series, but the margin has tightened considerably in recent years.
The last four Solheim Cups have been decided by a combined six points. Europe won 14.5-13.5 in 2019, followed by a 15-13 European victory in 2021. The 2023 matches ended in a 14-14 tie before the U.S. Team prevailed 15.5-12.5 in 2024, and it’s those recent results that show just how little skill separates the two sides entering 2026.
