PGA 투어 유니버시티 가속화 프로그램(Accelerated)은 3학년 이내에 일정 포인트를 달성하는 고급 대학 선수에게 조기 투어 멤버십을 열어주는 제도다. 기존의 대학 졸업 후 프로 진출 경로 외에 뛰어난 실력을 인정받은 선수들에게 더 빠른 기회를 제공한다.
0120포인트로 투어 카드를 확보하다
이 프로그램의 핵심은 단순하다. 대학 선수가 대학·아마추어·프로 골프에서의 성적을 통해 포인트를 쌓으면, 3학년 말까지 20포인트에 도달하면 PGA 투어 멤버십을 얻는 것이다. 멤버십을 얻으면 개방형 풀필드 투어 이벤트에 모두 출전할 수 있다.
포인트는 주요 대학 골프 상 수상, WAGR(세계 아마추어 골프 랭킹)의 개인 최고 순위, 대회 우승, NCAA 개인전 톱 10 진출(1포인트), 전국 팀 경기 참가, PGA 투어 공식 경기와 메이저 챔피언십 성적 등 다양한 활동을 통해 획득된다.
예를 들어 메이저 챔피언십에서 13위를 기록하면 출전(1) + 컷통과(1) + 톱 20(2) = 4포인트를 얻고, PGA 투어 공식 경기에서 7위로 끝내면 컷통과(1) + 톱 10(1) = 2포인트를 획득하는 방식이다.

콘너 그레이엄(텍사스 테크, 2028 클래스)은 11포인트로 선두를 달리고 있다. 메이슨 하웰(조지아)과 타일러 와츠(테네시)는 각각 9포인트로 뒤따르고 있다.
03가속화 프로그램의 선구자들
고든 사전트(밴더빌트, 2025 클래스)는 2023 월드 아마추어 팀 챔피언십에서 20포인트를 달성하며 가속화 프로그램을 통한 첫 번째 PGA 투어 멤버십 보유자가 됐다. 2024년 6월부터 투어 카드를 받을 수 있었지만, 대학 시즌을 마치기 위해 밴더빌트에 남기로 선택했다. 투어 멤버로서 사전트는 2025시즌 나머지 경기와 FedExCup 폴스에 모두 출전할 수 있게 됐다.
루크 클랜턴(플로리다 스테이트, 2026 클래스)은 쿠그니전트 클래식 인 더 팜 비치에서 컷을 통과해 20포인트를 달성했고, 잭슨 코이분(오번, 2027 클래스)도 가속화를 통해 투어 카드를 얻은 후 주니어 시즌을 계속하기로 결정했다.
04Original (English) — PGA TOUR
Through PGA Tour University Accelerated, a high-achieving junior, sophomore or freshman can earn PGA Tour membership and become eligible for all open, full-field Tour events. Players earn points based on their accomplishments in college, amateur and professional golf, and they will earn PGA Tour membership if they amass at least 20 points by the end of their third year of NCAA eligibility.
Accelerated Points can be earned through the following achievements:
Win a major college golf award
Career-best rank in WAGR
Tournament wins
Performance at D-I NCAA Individual
· 1 point – Top 10 and ties
Participate in a national team competition
Performance in official PGA Tour events and major championships
Examples:
• 13th in a major championship = Compete (1) + Made cut (1) + Top-20 (2) = 4 points • 7th in an official PGA Tour event = Made cut (1) + Top-10 (1) = 2 points

Vanderbilt senior Gordon Sargent earned his 20th point at the 2023 World Amateur Team Championships to become the first player to earn PGA Tour membership via PGA Tour University Accelerated. Though he was eligible to accept membership as soon as June 2024, Sargent opted to return to Vanderbilt for his senior season and may accept membership following the conclusion of stroke play at the 2025 NCAA D-I National Championship (May 23-26).
As a PGA Tour member, Sargent will be eligible for open, full-field events for the remainder of the 2025 season, including FedExCup Fall, and he also will be a PGA Tour member for the 2026 season (subject to reshuffles).
